Between the Lines

13/100

Jodi Picoult said that the idea for this book was not hers but her oldest teenage daughters, who co-wrote the book. You can definitely tell it was thought up by a teenage girl but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The book centers around 15-year-old Delilah and her secret obsession with a children’s fairytale. Her mother begins to worry, and advises her to stop, but when the main character begins to speak to her she just can’t help herself. The story is cute, simple, and definitely something every book lover has imagined happening with their favorite characters. While I enjoyed the story overall though, I found it a bit difficult to initially get into. Once I got past that though I had no complaints.
